I appreciate your willingness to help. I’m doing the iron person event for the first time this year. My biggest question is whether to wear my same running shoes the entire race or swap out at each stage? I’m looking to be as competitive on time as possible and bith scenarios present potential issues. If I used my same shoes, I was thinking of swapping out my clipless pedals for ones with toe clips (risk losing time on bike). If I swapped shoes, I was thinking of leaving my bike shoes clipped in and running barefoot to my kayak, where I would store some water shoes. What would your advice be?
